Coach wants more (12.09.03)

COACH Brenton Fielke saw his side in league action for the first time on Saturday, as they ran in try after try against Dorset outfit Wimborne.
Happy to have got his tenure off to a winning start, Fielke said: “Scoring 50 points isn’t a bad start.
“I was quite happy with the way the backs played.
“They were tight in defence and made the most of their opportunities.
“But they need to make more opportunities for themselves, especially when the forwards get bogged down.”
He also saw plenty of room for improvement up front, adding: “The forwards started okay. I’d been worried about our lineout and that went okay all day.
“The scrum should have been more solid, but the thing I was most disappointed with was their defence.
“It’s not that we were caught napping. It was just missed tackles.
“I can think of three tries that slipped through the back-row.
“All their scores were fairly tight in. I think their No.8 might have got a hat-trick.
“We’ve done some work on that now.
“If we can get that right and the other team can’t score, half the game is won.”
