Edwards wants to roll over Hill (03.09.04)

IT WAS a case of ‘job done’ on Saturday as Maidenhead beat Brixham 30-10 in the Powergen Cup.
However although it was a pleasing result, it was not a peformance which completely satisfied coach Simon Edwards.
He said: “We weren’t clinical at the breakdowns and in the execution of try scoring chances.
“Although it’s still early in the season, we were a bit sloppy at times.
“The result may have been comfortable, but I was not satisfied with the performance – especially in the second half.”
However Edwards was pleased to win and come through the match with any injuries.
He said: “Brixham were a young, strong side and made us work. It was good for us.
“The new guys settled in well although hooker Sean Swartz is not fully fit and wingers Fourie and Knight did not get a chance to shine.”
Maids will travel to Coney Hill tomorrow (Saturday) for the next round of the cup with Edwards promising a win.
“It’s a national cup and I promise we will come back with a victory.
“Coney Hill knocked out Chinnor – who are in our league – and I’m told they play 15-man rugby.
“It should be a good game."
