With the gauntlet laid down by the 1sts last week, the 2s also had a point to prove. With players coming back from injury, it was great to see the system working as it should in all clubs with players turning out for the 2nds as they come back from injury ready to compete to get their 1st team place back.

So to see Jo Plumus, Crippo, Gareth Edwards, joining Edd Dibb, Dave Gull who had played for the 1st the week before contributing with Piers, Dave Logan and Jonsey as the impervious old heads.

This sort of turn out can only strengthened an increasingly solid 2nds and therefore club, of which we can look forward to pushing even further up the league The game from the first to the last whistle was going our way, Maids pushed forward and pressured High Wycombe all day.

Maids worked the phases and bar a few simple mistakes which can only be put down to over eagerness we stuck to the game plan and methodically scored the points to put High Wycombe away. Now second in BBOPA we are entering a critical stage of the season, with a good run into Christmas.

We have all the top teams to play through Jan & Feb and the Berks Cup to defend as well. Busy times for the 2nds but exciting as well.
