U11s at the Maidenhead Tournament

Sunday 9th October 2011

B Team consistently hold their own

P5 W3 D1 L1

Newbury 0-1

Bracknell C 7-0

Marlow 4-1

Henley 0-0

Bracknell B 2-1

The B team built on some early pre season promise to produce a decent set of results at the Tournament yesterday. After losing narrowly to Newbury in a tough encounter the B team cut loose against Bracknell C and Marlow with some excellent running rugby and powerful forward play. A real ding dong battle with Henley was shared with Maidenhead camping out on the Henley line for most of the 2nd half. Finishing off with a tight win over Bracknell B the team showed there is plenty to work with this season-excellent effort was given by all.

A Team

P4 W1 D2 L1

Bracknell 2-2

Brighton 0-0

Marlow 2-0 Won

Henley 1-2 Lost

The A team carried on the great play from last weeks Windsor Tournament. They gave all the teams a run for their money and held the eventual winners, Bracknell, and the runners up, Brighton, to a draw. All boys played some great rugby with some great performances in both the forwards and the backs. It was a day of near misses and like last weekend the final game was a step too far.
