The Maidenhead Under 15s' Rangers squad began their first league game of the season with a promising start, with some good defensive work from the squad and some good work from scrum half Kieran Egan to enable the backs to move the ball down the line to Ryan Keegan to break through to score Maids' first try within five minutes of the kick off. After some excellent defensive work by the forwards to secure possession, the backs made the most of the situation and created some breaks in the Aldermaston defence to allow another opportunity to score another try. After some dubious tactics by Aldermaston off the ball Maids were awarded a penalty try. Maids allowed Aldermaston to sneak in an easy try followed by some critical decisions by the match official put Maids on the back-foot which Aldermaston capitalised on, pulling ahead with a converted try. After the interval Maids put in some excellent displays of the running game to secure a try by Louis Crossley, converted by Martin Harris, which brought Maids back into contention however, despite Maids showing great team spirit and determination Aldermaston broke through to secure another converted try. Maids bravely fought back in the latter stages of the game unfortunately this wasn't enough and ultimately failed to catch Aldermaston.
