U14Bs dominate Bracknell at Braywick

Maids' U14B were hosts at Braywick to a league side from Bracknell RFC on the weekend in pleasant weather conditions of sunshine.

Maidenhead B were soon dominating possession in the Bracknell half and had two attempts at tries which were held up. Very little ball reached the backs. Maidenhead changed their scrum half but the strategy looked as if it had backfired when Bracknell's backs broke through and scored. Maids persevered and soon pushed the visitors back beyond their 22 yard line. Scrum half Peter Watt intercepted a ball along the back line and touched down. Conversion by fly half Simon Graham.

Maidenhead then used centre Callum Burston in the number eight position in a scrum on the visitors' 5 metre line. Burston received the ball from Peter Watt and used his considerable weight and strength to crash the ball through for a second Maids' try. The exact same move was repeated a few minutes later to give Burston his second try.

The final score was Maidenhead B 17 points, Bracknell B 5.
