Twickenham U13s 29 v Maidenhead U13B 25

Sunday 22nd March 2009

Twickenham quickly established overlap against a lax Maids' defence and punished them a winger try and then with the Twickenham backs running at the centre of the Maids' defence, Maids missed three tackles in succession to concede another try.

Twickenham scored a further try before Maidenhead's Jordan Wedderpoel playing as fullback converted some territorial advantage and combined with the winger to create a surprise try. Maids number eight scored the next try from the base of a scrum at the Twickenham 5 metre line. The half time score was Twickenham 21 Maidenhead 12.

Maids opened the scoring in the second half with a try by the substitute prop George Kingsley. Substitute centre Tom Starman scored an aggressive try which was quickly answered by Twickenham. Starman, clearly annoyed by this promptly scored another with along run from the halfway line.

The final score was Twickenham 29 Maidenhead 25.
