A-team - runners-up

Maidenhead As vs Aylesbury As - 0 - 0:
A close first half with Maidenhead putting pressure on the Aylesbury line. In the second half, with the scrum dominant, winning several against the head, Maidenhead were twice stopped inches short of the try line but just failed to convert. Notable good performances from Scott Prince and Joel Greene.
Maidenhead As Vs Henley As - 1 - 0:
A try-less first half with Maidenhead again in the ascendancy from strong attacking surges from Will Lawrence and Julian Guy. In the second half, Maidenhead kept up the pressure on Henley and pushed forward hard which was rewarded by a try from Oliver Ward from a planned back-line move.
Maidenhead As Vs Tring As - 0-1:
A close match, although Tring were probably stronger in the scrum and passed the ball extremely well. Abi Dow put in some excellent tackles consistently throughout the match. Umar Marriott played well and was strong for Maids in the scrum. Some good running from Maids down the wings. Dan Cutler kicked accurately from the hand. Try scored by Tring in first half. Overall results probably fairly represented the match.

B-team - runners-up

Maidenhead Bs Vs Oxford Harlequins - 1-1:
The first game of the tournament against a strong A/B side from Oxford produced some great competitive rugby from a newly forming Maids squad. They made a good start against a strong scrum and tackled solidly. The Maids' try came from a good clearance kick and follow up rucking from which Xabier Leadbetter broke free to score. An equaliser by Oxford followed whilst Maids were still celebrating. The remainder of the game was a close fought contest showing good rucking and mauling from both sides.
Maidenhead Bs Vs Tring Bs - 1-0:
In this game, Maidenhead demonstrated great passing, using their line well. They read the game well and produced some fantastic runs across the backs by some new players to the squad including Alex Martin, Kahlid Omar and Tim Weddepohl. The winning try came from a typical strong run strong from Kieran Evans.
Maidenhead Bs Vs Henley Bs - 0-0:
Maidenhead were held by strong opposition and were unlucky to score after some strong surges by Daniel Henshaw and Tom Kynaston, but they couldn't quite cross the line.

Well done to the whole age-group, some great play!
