Playing in wet and windy conditions on a dreary Sunday morning, the U15s failed to build on last week’s fantastic performance, making too many unforced errors that were punished by a better-organised Ealing side. Forward Josh Turvey scored the team’s only try of the game and James Brooks continued his reliable kicking form with a penalty. But too many times the team passed long when the wet and slippery conditions dictated that shorter passes would be met with greater success. The players weren’t keeping their heads up to assess possible moves and as a consequence allowed Ealing space to create overlaps and carve out scoring opportunities. So, plenty to learn from the encounter and get right during training before the next friendly. |
