U10s run riot against Winscombe

20th April 2008

Touring side Winscombe RFC came up against an in form U10 side who are looking to round of the season in style.

After a couple of practice games, the main game kicked off with Maids fielding a full strength A team. They were soon away as Scott Prince picked up a good offload from Shane McKenna to run through and score and he then followed it up with some strong evasive running to go in for another. A good dummy and break by Daniel Cutler put Abigail Dow through for a good try and then she finished her brace with a great run at an attacking angle to make it 20-0 at half time.

In the 2nd half Maids piled on the pressure. The first score was by Will Lawrence, breaking from the back of a scrum won against the head to score in the corner. The Scott Prince scored 2 more as Maids ran through their repertoire of moves to round off a convincing 35-0 victory

Next weekend it is the Newbury Tournament in which Maids came second last year.
