U8s latest news

The U8s went to Saracens Youth Rugby Festival on Sunday 7th November and came away worthy victors of the trophy. Their passing and running game was exceptional in all of their matches, their defending solid and well organised, with everything underpinned by superb teamwork. They started off in tremendous style beating the hosts 20-15. They followed this by beating Amersham and Chiltern 25-15 and then drew with Ruislip in the tightest match 25 all. In the next match they won 15-10 against Sandal and in a final flourish beat Caldicott 30 points to 20.

Their passing down the line was fast and accurate, the result of which was that the wingers scored most of the 23 tries. But the key on Sunday was teamwork characterised by strong forward running and fluid passing down the lines. A Saracen’s event organiser said "It’s a joy to watch Under 8 rugby of this standard – Maidenhead were superb". A strong team effort from all.

Squad: Ben Alderson, William Ansell, Chris Cameron, Jordan Foster, Chris Heeley, Richard O’Reilly, Felix O’Sullivan, Callum Thomas, Stephen Thomson.
