U7s reach final at the Marlow Tournament

Sunday 26th March 2006

Both A and B teams played some great rugby at the Marlow tournament. The B team performed well as a team and despite not progressing from the group stages should be proud of the way they played.

The A team managed to reach the final with some great support play, passing on the run and wonderful defence. They had some tough matches against Wasps, Beaconsfield, Aylesbury and Henley.

They were closely contested matches with Maidenhead winning them all.

This took us into the final where we met Brighton for the first time. They were a very well drilled team and unfortunately for us they defeated us 5 - 3 in the final. However the A team can hold their heads high, for they played great as a team, and deserve their runners up medals.

The coaching staff and parents would like to say well done to all that played in the tournament. They played and conducted them selves in an exceptional way.

Many thanks Billy MacLean
