MRFC U7's Teddington 7/11/99

The Under 7s were visited by Teddington on Sunday, and we had a good joint training session, followed by a few games. Teddington brought enough players to make up two teams, so we had an A team, and a B team where we substituted players to make sure that everyone had a game. Unfortunately, Teddington were too strong for us (they must feed them well) and were not only bigger but played a much more physical game. A number of rucks were formed in the B team match, but fortunately the boys don't know how to get the ball out of a ruck so no damage was done! But it must be said that Teddington were more mature in their play, and their ball skills were better than ours.

The boys are improving each week, but with half of the players being 5 years old it will take a little time for them to get to grips with the game. But what a good squad we will have next year!
