Robbo in River of Death Drama Wednesday 21st July 2004 |
| Today was
supposed to be a day of relaxation, at Wild Water
Kingdom. The side made its way out to the site with our
favourite Yellow Bus driver Judy from
Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Early in the proceedings the adults took a ride on the innocuous sounding 'Lazy River'. However in scenes reminiscent of the film Deliverance there were regular ambushes by 16 year old bandits. Then the conditions changed for the worst with waves reaching 2 ins in places. Robbo announced that 'his arse was stuck in his ring'. Splash he was in the water, jumping back in he missed. Then in the matter of fact way that only Robbo can do he further announced 'I have partially dislocated my shoulder!' A trip to First Aid followed and the tannoy was used to summon Ralph. Ralph then was able add to his survey of Toronto Hospitals as Robbo was taken to get his shoulder reset. We can report that Robbo is almost back to normal and is still able to type his reports even if it is one handed. No pictures today as we were all busy getting wet.
