U15s struggle to difficult win
Sunday 28th November 1999
| In difficult conditions Maidenhead
under 15s beat Chobham 15-7. David White, Richard Banber and Alex Raskauskus showed up well in the Maids forwards, but as if often the case if you fail to convert pressure into points, the opposition break away and score. This is what Cobham did with their first visit into Maids' half after 20 minutes of play. Some poor defence led to a wild kick reaching their out-side centre who ran in under the posts. Maids came back smartly and scored when Dan Evans made an excellent tackle and David White picked up the loose ball and passed to Daryl Brady, who then kicked past the full-back and won the chase for a fine try. Maids should then have won easily, but after an Alexander Kent run, Sam Hocking scored in the corner and clinched the game. |
