U15s Appleton and Brady hit Camberley

Camberley U15s 0 v Maidenhead U15s 15

Sunday 16th January 2000

MAIDENHEAD Under-15s started strongly away to Camberley, with good work from their forwards putting the opposition under early pressure and setting up a 15-0 victory.

Maids' three-quarter line put some hard strong tackles in, with centres James Appleton and Daryl Brady sometimes hitting their opposing players at the same time.
Then from a scrum, Maids passed out along the line of backs to Hocking on the wing, whose pace got him through the defence to score Maids' first try of the day.
The visitors kept up the pressure constantly gaining ground but a strong Camberley defence held Maids off for the remainder of the first half.

Both teams came out determined in the start of the second half.
From a lineout just inside the opposition's 22, Filmore won the ball, driving through the strong tight defence and with support from the other forwards he drove over to score.
Winning another lineout, Lewis, seeing space, kicked on to the opposite corner, Alex Rakauskas chased, beating the defence, and grounded the ball for the final try of the match.
