The U13s continued their winning form with a fine victory against Tadley in a friendly match on Sunday. The boys were once again on their travels but as in previous fixtures weren’t daunted playing away from home. Tadley fielded a pretty big side, including a number of their under 14 players. Maids responded with a tactical move to match power with power and put formidable centres James Parrott and Ben Pritchard into the fray from the start. James Bowman was unfortunately carried off early with a rib injury but the boys quickly found their rhythm. Highlights of the game included good scrummage and rucking by Props Maxim Pelhate and Matt Quinn and solid contributions from hard-working Flankers Bryan Castle and Rory Creffield. As well as scoring, Morgan Davies enjoyed a good game at Fly Half. As usual, Jasper van der Valk and Michael Habgood made plenty of penetrating runs. Captain Ben Pritchard scored four tries, with one apiece from Morgan Davies, Connor Murphy, Adam Roels and James Parrott. |
