finally fulfilled their potential on Sunday by beating Bucks champions
Marlow under 13s.
Maids dominated all areas of play and time and again their forwards delivered quality ball from first, second and third phases allowing their powerful backs to cause havoc out wide. Although Marlow showed why they have been champions for so long, Maids were always ahead on points and every time Marlow closed the gap Maids exerted more pressure and pulled away again. Whenever in trouble Maids always had support on hand and the interlinking play between forwards and backs in open play and the speed with which the ball was spun wide into space was a joy to watch This Maids team now enjoys an excellent balance of individual ability and teamwork, with strength in depth allowing all members of the squad to play a part in this impressive and long overdue victory. |
