Under 12s at St Patrick’s Day Parade with London Irish 23 of the Maids Under 12 squad enjoyed a day out at the Madejski Stadium, joined the St Patrick’s Day parade around the pitch, said “Hi” to Jason Robinson and Charlie Hodgson from visiting Sale, and raised some funds for the age group while they were at it. There was a great atmosphere around the ground before the game as the biggest Guinness Premiership crowd of the season gathered – just under 20,000 people. A great game of rugby unfolded, though the coaches in attendance felt London Irish might have liked to borrow either LD Basson or Ross Brown (winners of the U12 kicking competition) as they missed 11 points through kicks and lost by 8. A great bonding, team building experience. Many thanks to Julie AJ in particular for organising it, and to superstar Lee Carn for all his help. |
